This is blog for virtual and real life tourists. It's for people who want something more. Something more to see, to know, to feel, to expirience... It is like some sort of guide that will show you which stone to turn (and which stone to leave unturned), when to turn off the road, and how and where to get lost. Here you'll find stories from times long time ago and stories from the recent past, legends, useful information...

Why Rediscovered Detours?

I admit - I alone didn't came up with the name. My friends helped. We had a little brainstorming. They all love to travel and some of them traveled together with me. Occasionally traveling gets a bit complicated and you have to go off the usual route. You have to go on detour. And that's when it starts to be interesting. And that's the beginning of adventure.

Good. But what about rediscovered? When you arrive in - let's say - in Dubrovnik, a travel agency assigned guide walks you through old city, showing you Lovrjenac fortress, Pile gates, Stradun street, Orlando's Column... Next year go again in Dubrovnik and guide shows you Lovrjenac, Pile, Stradun... You see everything that's in brochures about Dubrovnik, web-pages about Dubrovnik, postcards... But many interesting stories and things slowly fall into oblivion. Just a step away from path beaten by tourists visiting Dubrovnik. Waiting to be rediscovered.
